Summer Time

What a beautiful day.

I woke up this morning, very, very early.  My oldest boy had to be taken to football practice way too early for my taste.  But, being the awesome son that he is, he started my coffee for me!  I could not ask for anything more.

I then spent time with my middle boy out on the front porch petting the neighborhood cat.  We sat together, me drinking my coffee, him sharing with me all the video stuff that he had recently discovered.  He is a boy who loves his video games.

As we stepped into the house, we were met by my husband and my youngest, who was very upset because he thought his mama was gone.  I had disappeared on him and I was not were I belong.  I should have been in my bed, shame on me (which I somewhat have to agree).  At that point, I was rewarded with a good cuddle, what an awesome morning!

So, this is my life.  I am a mother of 3 boys, currently 16, 9, and 2 years old.  I stay at home, and this year, I will be using ABCJesusLovesMe with my 2 year old.  That is basically what this blog is about.  I will share pictures of our days, I will share ideas that come to my mind, if I make a great meal for my family that the kids love, I will share it here.  This will be the Itty Bitty Years.  My two year old is growing up fast, and I do not want it to be forgotten.

But now it is summertime, all my boys are home, and we are having a blast!!!  Today we officially pronounced it summer in our home by going swimming.  This was our first swim of the season.  Not only the first of the season, but we have recently moved to a new area, so we are discovering all the spots to go in our new community.  So, this was our first visit to the local swimming lake.

The lake was a bit rocky, but beside that, I think it will become a beloved place to go.  Plenty of sand to dig in, geese swimming by (which was the toddlers favorite part), and we think we saw a fish or two jumping.

We are just beginning this summer, but if today is any sign of the wonder that God has planned for this season, sign me up!!!

Until we meet again - God bless,
Gail
